59-year-old folk artist Ding Yuanzhong in Rizhao City, Shandong Province
exquisitely created two 3.16-meter-tall vases with 2,800 peach cores on
the morning of May 25. As "He Ping" (peach core vase) rhymes with "peace"
in Chinese Pinyin, Ding made these vases to wish for world peace and also
welcome the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
